Returns
At Lidgett Music, we want you to be completely confident in your purchase. That’s why we offer a 72-hour approval period on most instruments. We understand it takes time for a guitar to acclimate to your environment—and to your hands and ears—before you know it’s the right fit.
If you decide to return an item, please contact us first at (712) 322-0200 or email us before shipping. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Return Conditions:
• Items must be in resalable condition, exactly as received.
• Returns must be shipped within three (3) days of receiving your return label.
• Items must be securely packed in original packaging to avoid damage.
Non-Returnable Items Include (but are not limited to):
• Picks, strings, harmonicas, batteries
• Previously installed pickups (and installation labor)
• Any item not returned in resalable condition

Refunds & Deductions
Once your item is received and inspected, we will issue a refund minus:
• Transaction fees (3%)
• Shipping costs both ways, including any originally included “free” shipping
All return shipping and insurance are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a defective product.
If the item is defective or incorrect, you may choose to:
• Receive a replacement (we cover all shipping costs)
• Exchange for another product
• Request store credit or a full refund
If you decline a replacement or exchange and opt for a refund, the original and return shipping costs will be deducted—even if your original order had free shipping.
For non-defective returns, customers are responsible for all shipping and insurance costs.
If you purchased through a third-party (e.g., Reverb):
Please initiate your return request directly through that platform. Our team will process the return upon receipt of the item.

Restocking Fees & Limitations
• A restocking fee may apply if the item is returned in less-than-original condition or without original packaging.
• Items discounted more than 10% off MAP are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
• Customers are limited to five (5) returns per 6-month period. Any additional returns will incur a 10% restocking fee.
• All deposits are non-refundable.

Order Cancellations
Canceled orders are subject to non-refundable credit card or PayPal processing fees.
If your order is received damaged, incorrect, or defective, contact us immediately so we can make it right.

Shipping
We strive to ship most in-stock items within 24 hours.
All shipped orders are fully insured and require a signature upon delivery (unless otherwise agreed upon).

Deposits & Special Orders
Special Orders (Non-Stock Models)
• Require a 25% deposit
• Fully refundable as store credit if canceled before delivery
• Subject to a 15% restocking fee if returned, as these are not part of our regular inventory
Custom Orders (Standard Inlays & Specs)
• Require a 50% non-refundable deposit
• Upon return, 50% deposit is retained as store credit
Personalized Custom Orders (Names, Signatures, Custom Inlays)
• Require 100% payment upfront, non-refundable
• These orders are non-returnable due to their personalized nature
