Collings OM1JL — Julian Lage Signature Orchestra Model
The Collings OM1JL is a highly acclaimed signature model born from a collaboration between master luthier Bill Collings and jazz virtuoso Julian Lage. Designed to capture the vintage tone and feel of Lage's cherished 1939 Martin 000-18, this orchestra model delivers the sonic character of a pre-war classic with the road-worthy stability Collings is renowned for.
Solid Honduran mahogany back and sides are paired with your choice of Sitka spruce or premium Adirondack spruce top. The body features traditional series pre-war scalloped X-bracing that opens up a wide, resonant tone. Ultra-thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish leaves the wood grain tactile and promotes an organic, uncolored voice.
The custom "JL" neck is digitally blueprinted from Lage's original '39 Martin, featuring an asymmetrical hand-worn taper, 1 11/16" nut width, and extended 25 1/2" scale length for enhanced note definition and projection. Vintage relic nickel Waverly tuners and hand-cut script peghead logo complete the instrument.
This example is in excellent condition and includes original hardshell case.
