This faithful 1957 reissue captures the essence of the original with its striking gold finish, solid mahogany back paired with a plain maple top, and authentic humbucking pickups that deliver the warmth and clarity Gibson is known for.
Built to exacting Custom Shop standards, every detail—from the hide glue construction to the historic narrow/tall frets and 1950s chunky D neck profile—honors the craftsmanship of the Golden Era. The Ultra Light Aged finish treatment by the Murphy Lab creates the character and feel of a vintage instrument played gently over decades, complete with lightly aged nickel hardware.
Beneath the surface, you'll find Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups paired with CTS potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors for responsive, organic tone. The No-Wire ABR-1 bridge and lightweight aluminum stop bar tailpiece ensure excellent sustain and resonance.
This is a complete instrument: 22 frets of Indian rosewood, Kluson Single Line tuning machines, and all the period-correct details that make it both a stunning visual statement and a player's dream.
