Novo Serus J in Bull Black
Novo Serus J in Bull Black
Designed by Dennis Fano and hand-assembled in Nashville, the Novo Serus J stands as a modern interpretation of the offset electric guitar. This instrument marries classic offset proportions with contemporary engineering and premium materials. At its core sits a thermally treated pine body—roasted to remove moisture and enhance resonance while keeping weight around 7 lbs. The baked maple neck adopts a comfortable medium 'C' profile paired with an East Indian rosewood fretboard featuring a 9.5″ to 14″ compound radius. This pairing supports both smooth chording and fluid bending without fret buzz. Lollar or Lindy Fralin P-90 pickups deliver a muscular, articulate voice with superior clarity and headroom compared to vintage single-coil designs. The Mastery M1 bridge and NV vibrato system provide the tuning stability and smooth tremolo response that traditional offset designs often lack. Finished in thin nitrocellulose lacquer with light-to-medium distressing, the Bull Black finish reveals wood grain character and develops a naturally aged patina over time. A purpose-built instrument for players who value lightweight responsiveness, tonal punch, and meticulous craftsmanship.
