The Suhr Pete Thorn SS Custom HSS is a high-performance signature instrument built to Pete Thorn's exacting specifications — a stage-ready workhorse with serious boutique credentials, finished in eye-catching gloss Red Sparkle.

The 2-piece alder body features arm, hand, and tummy contours for all-day comfort, a recessed FU Tone Floyd Rose bridge in chrome, and a black gloss 3-ply standard hybrid pickguard with Floyd cavity cover. Electronics are mounted to the pickguard and routed through Suhr's SSCII hum-canceling system. Pickups are V63 Neck and Middle (both black) with an SSH Plus Bridge in chrome window, selected via a 5-way black blade switch. A push-pull control activates parallel bridge pickup mode, and a D-Tuna drop-tuner is installed at the bridge. Controls are a simple Volume/Tone with chrome knobs. Auto split in position 2 is included as a special request feature.

The roasted maple neck has an oil finish and Pete Thorn's signature 60's Soft V profile (.830"–.910"), with an ebony fingerboard, 10"–14" compound radius, clay face dots and side dots, 22 stainless steel jumbo frets, and a 1.687" FU Tone Floyd nut in chrome. Suhr locking tuners in chrome keep tuning rock-solid under heavy use. Headstock is engraved with the Pete Thorn Signature designation. Strung .010–.046 in E Standard. Serial #94493.
