The Taylor Ben Harper Gold Label 512e SE Grand Concert is a premium acoustic-electric guitar born from a collaboration between GRAMMY-winning artist Ben Harper and master luthier Andy Powers. Part of Taylor's exclusive Gold Label Collection, this instrument reimagines the Grand Concert shape with a deeper body that delivers enhanced low-end warmth and resonance while maintaining a compact, playable profile.
Built with a solid torrefied Sitka spruce top paired with solid Neo-Tropical mahogany back and sides, the 512e SE produces a rich, aged-in tone. The custom V-Class bracing is voiced specifically for this body configuration to maximize sustain, volume, and projection. At 24-7/8" scale with a 14-fret neck joint, it offers comfortable playability without sacrificing acoustic power.
The Action Control Neck features Taylor's innovative long-tenon joint, allowing quick micro-adjustments to neck angle and string action with a simple tool. Electronics are handled by the Claria under-saddle pickup system with soundhole-mounted controls for Volume, Tone, and Mid-Contour, giving you responsive amplified performance.
Finished in a striking golden-brown Shaded Edgeburst gloss, the 512e SE showcases Honduran rosewood fingerboard and bridge, cream binding, retro script logo, and polished bronze mini tuners—details that reflect its premium heritage and artistic vision.
